21,5cm, 28cm, 120 hlm This research investigates the use of Biographical Film in teaching writing descriptive text. This research is aimed for finding out the students’ skill development in writing descriptive text after using Biographical Film. Method used for this research is experimental with one-group pre-test post-test design which is belong to pre-experimental. This research involves 19 female students of Female School MA Mursyidatul Jannah as the sample. The result of this research shows that the students’ skill on writing descriptive text, person description, after using Biographical Film are better than before using Biographical Film. The result show the average of post-test score (56.6) is higher than the average of pre-test score (48.4). It indicates that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Known that the to (t observation) is -4.987. The significance of the difference is checked by comparing the tobservation and the ttable. Here is known that dk = N-2 = 19-2 = 17. Based on the values of distribution table, with ɑ (alpha) 0.05 or 5% for one tail test, the ttable for dk 17 is 1,74. With probability 5% (0.05), when tobsrvation or observed value < ttable or critical value, it can be said that there is significant difference. The statistical significance shows that tobservation (-4.987) < ttable (1.74). It can be said that the difference is significantly higher.
