The objectives of the research are to know the extent of the
improvement of students‟ speaking skill through dialogue activities of
the tenth year students of SMAN 6 Kota Serang of the academic year
2018/2019 and to identity the situation when dialogues are
implemented in the speaking class of the tenth year students of SMAN
6 Kota Serang of the academic years 2018/2019. This study was
experimental research; the target population of this study was all the
tenth grade students of SMAN 6 Kota Serang in the school year
2018/2019. The researcher took 72 students as the sample of the study,
36 students as the experimental group and 36 students as control group.
To collect the data, the researcher used test. In analyzing the data, the
researcher used the comprehensive description of FSI procedure and
then conversed with the criteria of the weighting table of the
comprehensive description of FSI procedure. The result of this research
shows that the students‟ speaking abilities who use dialogue activity in
the class achieve better performance than those which do not use
dialogue activity in improving speaking skill.
