This research investigates the use of Google-Translate technique
in translating lesson, specifically it is written in the v title of this
research paper. This research is aimed finding out the students’
sentence translation ability at First Grade of MA Mathla’ul Falah
Lempuyang-Tanara who use Google-Translate technique; finding
out translating ability at First Grade of MA Mathla’ul Falah
Lempuyang-Tanara who do not use Google-Translate technique;
and knowing whether the student’s taught through GoogleTranslate
technique have better performance in translating than
those who are taught non Google-Translate technique. Method
used for this research is experimental with two class, called
experimental and control class using pre-test and post-test
technique. This research involves 60 students as sample among
second class of MA Mathla’ul Falah Lempuyang-Tanara as
population. The writer gives result of the research that pre-test
score obtained by student experiment group before treatment was
(ƩX1) = 1340, and mean (M) = 44,67. The highest score was 80
and the lowest score is 20. After the research gave treatment,
translating comprehension of study by using Google-Translate
strategy is increased. The total score of post-test in experiment
class is (ƩX2) = 2370, and mean (M1) = 79. The result of post-test
that highest score was 90 and the lowest score is 70. The total
score of pre-test control group is (ƩY1) = 1370, and mean (M) is
45,6. The highest score of pre-test control group is 60 and the
lowest was 30. The total score of post-test control group is (ƩY2)
= 1740, and mean (M2) = 58. The highest of post-test score was
80 and the lowest score was 40. The result of the research shows
that the student’s translating abilities who use Google-Translate
technique achieve better performance than those who do not use
Google-Translate technique.</note>
