<note>This book present the implementation of teaching and learning bahasa indonesia as one of language other than english or commonly called lote in kingsbury primary school, melbourne, australia. the main objective of the investigation is to identify factors supporting and hindering the implementation of teaching and learning bahasa Indonesia in melbourne. the results of this study provide very important perspectives and pedagogical models in relation to the implementation of teaching and learning english in primary schools in Indonesia. This make sense since the aims of teaching and learning bahasa Indonesia in primary schools in victoria, to some extent, are parallel to the aims of teaching and learning english in primary school in Indonesia. Thus, finding factors influencing the implementation of teaching and learning bahasa Indonesia in Melbourne will contribute to the development of teaching and learning english in primary schools, especially, in east java. brief historical background of teaching and learning english in indonesia from 1950s to 2000s as well as discussing current issues of teaching and learning english in primary schools ini indonesia are also presented to situate the problems of teaching englis in indonesia and its development.</note>
