The objectives of the research are: 1) to know the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Panggarahan Lebak in writing narrative skill, 2) to know the effectiveness of picture series towards the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Panggarangan Lebak in writing narrative skill. The research was carried out at SMAN 1 Panggarangan Lebak, in March 2016. The research method is experimental. The sbjects of the research are the students of the eleventh grade students. Each of them consists of 38 students. The eleventh Social 1 is as an experimental class which was taugh using picture series and the eleventh Social 2 is as a control class which was taught using conventional method. The data were obtained from test. The researcher gained quantitative data for this research. They are the students scores of students writing test after having four times treatment for each class.</note>
