This research investigates the effectiveness a multiple choice test and essay test for checking students reading comprehension on narrative text at the second grade of MTS AL-Mubarok Kota Serang. Narrative text is one text kinds of reading that might improve students reading comprehension. A Multiple choice test and essay test are two kinds of the questions for checking students rewading comprehension. So these instruments are simple fom and simple question. The purpose of the research are; 1) How is students reading comprehension on narrative text? 2. How is the effectiveness a multiple choice test and essay for checking students reading comprehension on narrative text at the second grade MTS AL-Mubarok Kota Serang.
