An Analysis of the Implementation of Online TOEFL Course as a TOEFL Preparation Test (a Case Study at TOEFL Academy)
This study aims to describe and to find out the students’ perception of the implementation of online TOEFL course as a TOEFL preparation test at TOEFL Academy. In this study, there were two research questions, namely: (1) How is the implementation of TOEFL Academy as an online TOEFL preparation course? (2) What are students’ perception of the implementation of online TOEFL preparation course at TOEFL Academy? This study used descriptive qualitative method. It involved 20 participants from TOEFL group. In collecting the data, the questionnaire and interview were employed. The result of this study indicates that the implementation of online TOEFL preparation course at TOEFL Academy have a medium-high level. This can be seen from the results of the overall average of students’ perception score which is reached 3,98. Most of the students stated that the implementation of online TOEFL preparation course at TOEFL Academy is good implementation in practice. The participants are assisted by the existence of a TOEFL Academy course institution that provides paid or even free online course. Then, some of the implementations that have been explained by the resource person can be carried out through several stages, including 1) duration of the TOEFL program, 2) learning and implementation, and 3) the test. So, it can be concluded that the implementation of online TOEFL preparation course at TOEFL Academy through three well-implemented stages.
