The Influence Of Taboo Game On Student’s Speaking Skills (A Quasi Experiment at Eighth Grades of Mts Al-Hidayah Ciomas)


This research investigates the use of Taboo Game. The objective of the research are to find the significance difference in student’s speaking skills of the eight grade of Mts Al-Hidayah between those who are learning speaking by using taboo game and those who are not. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with test data collection techniques (pre-test and post-test) and observation. The population in this research were VIII grade students of Mts Al-Hidayah, with a sample of 60 students. Based on hypothesis testing, the hypothesis test used is independent sample t-test. The Independent sample t-test is used to determine wether there is a difference in the average of two unpaired samples. The main requirements in the independent sample t-test are normally distributed and homogeneus data. An according to the output above, From the table above the result of t-count independent sample t-test was 2,737. While t-table was 1,672. Then t-count 2,737 > 1,672. It’s mean the hyphotesis is accepted. Then It can be concluded that There is a significant difference in students' speaking skills between those taught by Taboo game (experimental class) and those taught without using taboo game (control class).
