THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INTERPALS MEDIA FOR STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT ( A Quasi Experimental Research in The Second Grade of SMK Nurul Huda Baros)


This study aims to determine the significant difference in learning outcomes in the vocabulary mastery of students in class XI Accounting 2 as an experimental class and XI Accounting 4 as a control class at SMK Nurul Huda Baros using Interpals media. This research is a quasi-experimental design study. The samples in this study were students of class XI Accountating 2, namely 30 students and XI Accounting 4, namely 30 students. The researcher chose the material used is "Asking for and giving advice". The data analyzed in this research was gathered through the tests. Moreover, this study conducted through the following procedures are giving pre-test, applying treatments, and giving post-test. It was analyzed and processed by using Liliefors statistic data calculation technique. The result proved that there was a difference score between the control class who taught by conventional media and the experiment class who taught by Interpals media. According to the result of statistical calculation, it can be seen that mean score of post-test in experiment class was 77,3 and the mean score of post-test in control class was 64,0. The value of t-test was higher that the ratio on t-table, t-test (12,42) is higher than t-table (1,67). Therefore, it means that was accepted and was rejected. This shows that there is a significant difference in results in students' vocabulary mastery between the control group and the experimental group. The students of class XI Accounting 2 taught with Interpals media were more effective than XI Accounting 4 without using Interpals media.
