DEVELOPING MATERIAL INSTRUCTION OF CRITICAL WRITING USING REACT STRATEGY (A Research and Development in Grade Student of MA Al-Ihsan)


This study investigates the effectiveness of the instructional
material in teaching writing descriptive text material. It has the aim that
students are active in English writing and research classes. These are
research and development studies (R&D). The subjects of this study
were students of class ten IPA MA Al Ihsan Walantaka. Procedure
research follows the material development process proposed by
ADDIE. The stages of this research are 1) Needs analysis, 2)
Designing product materials, 3) Developing product materials, 4)
Implementation of product material, 5) Evaluating the material. Study
using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Research findings
from The final result shows that the average material expert validation
score results4.5 with the category "Very Good." Media expert
validation score results from an average of 4.7 with the type "Very
Good." The average score on the pre-test got 49.6 while the post-test
mean score is 74.9. The results of the calculation of the t-test, the t
value is 58.3 while the t-table is 1.74 with (α=0.05) or t-test Table.
Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the
learning media of teaching materials based on learning modules uses
the REACT strategy can be used as a learning medium for student
learning. It could be concluded that there is an increase in learning
achievement after students use learning module media with REACT
Strategy.
