Using Puzzle to Improve Students Ability in Using Punctuation (A Classroom Action Research at the Eight Grade of MTS Pekalongan, Kecamatan Citangkil In Academic Year 2020-2021)


This study aims to improve students learning outcomes in writing punctuation so that it can be understood by the reader. Puzzle game in cycle 1 and descriptive text in cycle 2. By using the qualitative method. This research was conducted from January 18-26 2021, located in class eight grade SMP Pekalongan-Citangkil. The type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles consisting of three meetings in one cycle, each cycle consisting of: Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. Data collection techniques and tools in this study used test and observation sheet techniques on data in the form of student work documents, value list. The results showed that with the qualitative method there was a pleasant learning atmosphere so that student learning outcomes increased, namely from the results of the first cycle to the second cycle there was an increase, in cycle 1 the number of students who got a complete score was 12 students or 60%, the score ws incomplete. In the second cycle there is an increase in the complete score to 15 students or 75% it is concluded that the qualitative method can improve the learning outcomes of punctuation marks.
