THE EFFECT OF ONLINE LEARNING ON STUDENTS’ EMOTIONAL LEVEL IN ENGLISH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT STATE ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF SULTAN MAULANA HASANUDDIN BANTEN
The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of
online learning at the English Education Department UIN Sultan
Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, to determine the emotional level of
students toward online learning at the English Education Department
UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, and to determine the effect of
online learning on students' emotional levels at the Department of
English Education at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The
method used in this research is quantitative, and data collection
techniques are questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that
online learning in the English Education Department uses various
platforms for online learning, including WhatsApp, Zoom, and Google
Meet. The simple linear regression analysis, Y=11,953+0,452X+e, this
shows the number of regression coefficients; that value is 0.452. This
number means that the regression coefficient value is positive; this
explains that online learning has a good effect on the emotional level of
students. The level of students in online learning was at a moderate
level where students were able to control emotions when online
learning took place.
