THE USE OF TONGUE TWISTER TECHNIQUE IN TIKTOK APPLICATION TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION (A Quasi Experimental Research at the Tenth Grade of MAN 2 Kota Serang)


This research is to investigate the process of Students' English pronunciation in TikTok application for the tenth grade students’ of MA Negeri 2 Kota Serang, by using tongue twister technique. The subject of this research involves 60 students’ as sample among tenth class of MA Negeri 2 Kota Serang, year 2021 as population. The method used in this research was quantitative method. The design of this study was quasi – experimental design with two classes, called experimental and control class using pre – test and post – test technique. The result of calculation showed that the value of t0 was 6,7 with the degrees of freedom (df) was 58. In this research, the degree of significance in the level of 5% and 1% which in the table of significance showed that level 5% of df 58 was 1,68 and level 1% of df 58 was 2,4. According to the criteria of the test, the result showed that there is a significant difference between students’ English pronunciation in TikTok application by using tongue twister technique and without tongue twister technique. It means that, tongue twister technique is effective and applicable at the tenth grade of MA Negeri 2 Kota Serang, towards students’ English pronunciation
