Pedagogical Competence Of The English Teachers At SMA Al-Mubarok Serang (A Descriptive study At Ten Grade Of Eglish Teachers At SMA Al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School)


The research aims at knowing the pedagogical competence of in Teaching English at ten Grade students of SMA Al-Mubarok Serang and to analysis the students and teacher perspectives on the teachers‟ pedagogical competence. The researcher used descriptive study in acquiring the result of questionnaire, which aims to find out the ten grade students of SMA Al-Mubarok Serang perception of teachers pedagogic competence in English learning. The subject of this research were the ten grade students and teachers of SMA Al-Mubarok Serang which consisted of 73 students and the English teachers of Al-Mubarok Serang which consist of 2 teachers. There were three kinds of instruments in this research: observation, interview, and questionnaire. The findings of this research, the teachers pedagogical competence were very good and teachers knows the function of pedagogical competence and understand the function and duties of teachers, teachers is able to control the class situation and conditions perfectly in teaching English at the ten grade students of SMA Al-Mubarok Serang.
