Designing Learning Media Animated Video In Facilitating Student Learning Speaking. (Research and Development Conducted at the Eight Grade of SMPN 3 Pandeglang in Academic Years of 2020/2021)


The study aimed to create learning media in facilitating students learning speaking through an animated video designed by a kinemaster application, which could be used in the learning activities and was easy to be created. This research belongs to Research and Development (R&D) which implemented Borg and Gall’s theory into 7 steps of development: 1) Need Analysis, 2) Product Development, 3) Expert Validation, 4) The first revision 5) Limited Field Trial Assessment, 6) The second revision 7) Final Product. Data Collecting Instruments are Observation, Interview, and Questionnaire. The material validation was performed by the materials experts; whereas the media validation was performed by the media experts and users (students). The research findings show that there is 95,56% by the material experts and 82,67% by the media experts and 97,24% by the users (students). It means that learning media for English subjects using animated video is very suitable in the learning process. Thus it is suggested to teachers to use the learning media animated video. Then, facilities and infrastructure in the classroom should be provided in order to support the optimal.
