Students’ perception on the Application of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text (A Descriptive Qualitative Study on the Tenth Grade Students of SMKN 2 Kota Serang)


This study aimed to find out the students’ perception on the application of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text. The objective of this research is focused to find out the students’ perception on the application of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text. In this research, the researcher conduct a descriptive qualitative research with survey method. The participants of this study were thirty-two (32) students on the tenth grade. The data of students’ perception on the application of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text were obtained by questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire data was collected by Google Form. The result of the research shows that most of students agree about the use of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text can help them understanding the material easily. It can see from the percentage of the questionnaire answers that show about 29.68% of students answered strongly agree, 55.94% answered agree, 10.94% answered disagree, and 3.44% answered strongly disagree. From this result, the researcher concluded that students’ perception on the application of Kahoot! as digital media in learning descriptive text is positive.
