This research investigates teaching writing narrative text through
Scaffolding Technique. This research is aimed to know the students’
response of using Scaffolding Technique in teaching writing narrative
text; to know the application of Scaffolding Technique Technique in
teaching writing narrative text; and to know the influence of teaching
writing narrative text through Scaffolding Technique at first grade of
SMA Al Irsyad Waringinkurung. The writer used quasi experiment
research with two classes, experimental class and control class. The
population of the research is the first grade of SMA Al Irsyad
Waringinkurung and took 50 students as the sample which divided in
two classes, 25 students as experimental class namely class X IPA, and
25 students as control class namely class X IPS. To collect the data, the
writer used Interview, observation, and test, the result of the research
shows at the value t0 is 6,64 the writer compared it with tt (t table) both
in degree significance 5% and 1%. Therefore, to:tt = 6,64 > 1.67 in
degree of significance 5% and to:tt = 6,64 > 2.20 in degree of
significance 1%. The statistic hypothesis states that if to is higher than tt
,
it shows that Ha (alternative hypothesis) of the result is accepted and H0
(null hypothesis) is rejected. It means that there is significance
influence of Teaching Writing Narrative Text Through Scaffolding
Technique.
